Perfect for a first visit
Three days was just right. Amber Fort early, chai in the old city and dinner facing Hawa Mahal. As a solo woman I felt completely looked after.

Slow, warm and beautifully paced

Magical, and very hot in the day
Go in winter. The fort at sunrise and the dunes at sunset are extraordinary, but plan indoor time for the middle of the day.

Palaces, forts and a night under the stars
The dune camp was the highlight — proper beds, a campfire, and a sky full of stars. Jaisalmer Fort felt like stepping into another century.

Wonderful, with one long driving day
The forts and lakes were spectacular. The drive from Kumbhalgarh to Chittorgarh is long, but Bhanwar made it comfortable with well-timed stops.
